I received a copy of THE PEACOCK THRONE by Lisa Karon
Richardson from Lion Fiction via Kregel Publications in exchange for an honest
review. This was another wonderful novel
of historical fiction. I have been on a
huge historical fiction binge lately, so this book fit right in.
Miss Lydia Garrett wants to find the villain who murdered
her guardian. Lots of action follows
Lydia. It starts with action on the
first page and doesn’t let you go. There’s
a few murders, which keep the reader on the edge of his or her seat. I loved how the reader gets to travel the
world with Lydia. I’m a huge fan of
travel. Each new setting was vividly
described. The romance was sweet.
Miss Lydia Garrett is an excellent role model for
women. She is a strong woman who knows
what she wants, despite the historical setting when women had a lower role in
society.
On a side note, I recently got into the Heartsong Presents series. After looking at THE PEACOCK THRONE on
GoodReads, I saw that Lisa Karon Richardson has written for that series. How cool!
I haven’t read those yet, but I will be on the look out.
