Wow! This isn’t just a great start to a new series. It’s a very dark young adult dystopian. In some ways, its an adult book. The language is adult, and plenty of evil things happen in the story.
The world building is powerful and intense. Its like our world enough to be believable,
but different enough to suck you in and leave you wondering what will happen
next.
Maya is loveable and realistic.
The action is nonstop. This book
has all of Matt’s trademarks and I can’t wait to see where the series takes us.
